Bi-weekly, we’ll release a minisode covering new and upcoming releases, share thoughts on what we’re currently watching, play some games, and any other free-flowing topics that may come up. This inaugural episode covers Drew’s excitement and Badway’s fears for the impending Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice release, the beautiful snoozefest that was The Revenant, quick thoughts on the Netflix nostalgia porn, Fuller House, and a Razzie’s recap.

Fifty Shades of Grey (EP 22)
It’s time for Valentine’s Day, and what better film to release The Last Row Podcast’s inner freak than the super-steamy Twilight fanfic-turned-novel-turned-box office smash, Fifty Shades of Grey? Despite the film’s obvious shortcomings, Drew and Badway find a lot to love while analyzing the main characters’ dysfunctional relationship, examining Christian Grey’s stalking skills, and toying with the contents and actions in “the playroom.” Other topics include: rich-guy moves, acting like you’re losing at business, friendzones, oral fixations, filmmaking 101, the ramifications of selling off your “kinda girlfriend’s heirloom VW Bug, and much more. The guys wrap it up by trying to save the movie via re-cast, followed by a friendly game of “Legit Film or Skinemax Flick?”

Mortal Kombat (EP 21)
Get your quarters ready, turn up the techno beats, and guard your brother’s soul…It’s time for MORTAL KOMBAT! The Last Row Podcast heads straight into Outworld to break down all of the Toasties, Get Over Here’s, Flawless Victories, and Liu Kang Bicycle Kick Screams you can handle. Drew and Badway uppercut important issues about the Mortal Kombat mythology such as: the accommodations at the tournament, the arbitrary rules for invading dimensions, the questionable fighter selection process, and the betting odds of Liu Kang’s eighty pound little brother versus Shang Tsung. Finally, the guys recast the fighters and debate the best “real life” fighters who would defend Earth if there were a real Mortal Kombat tourney.

The Replacements (EP 20)
Football is back, and who better to lead us into the new season than the legendary Shane Falco and the underdog classic, The Replacements. After extensive film study, Drew and Badway scout all of the major players from the movie and pair them with their real-life NFL counterparts, as well as lay out their possible playing futures beyond the closing credits. The guys also talk favorite football movies, compare Falco’s skills to other famous movie QBs, what to do when your truck gets flipped over (just leave it there), and figure out the best way to discreetly rig an NFL game.

10 Things I Hate About You (EP 19)
It’s back to school week, and The Last Row Podcast is celebrating by rolling out our take on the high school romances of 10 Things I Hate About You. In between pondering the modeling career of Joey “Lips Waterman” Donner and analyzing the romance novel writing of Ms. Perky, the guys take an extended look at the courtship tactics and the probability of long term success of each relationship within the film. Additionally, Drew and Badway compare Larry Miller’s “dad” role to other “single dad raising daughters” characters in 90s movies, as well as scoring Bogie Lowenstien’s party against other similar high school movie ragers. Finally, the hosts try (and fail) to properly create haikus for each budding romance.
