Sudden Death (EP 17)
Just in time for the Stanley Cup Finals, The Last Row Podcast honors the underappreciated Jean-Claude Van Damme classic, Sudden Death. Drew and Badway have an extensive discussion about the iconic Jean-Claude goalie scene, while pondering his Canadian semi-pro career, his effectiveness (and perhaps overqualification) as a firefighter, and put Darren McCord’s skills up against another fictional hockey legend, Gordon Bombay. The guys also choose the possible fits for other actors in similar logic-defying championship sports roles, recast Sudden Death for the reboot that will never happen, and break down the four different levels of sports mascots and rank them based on fighting prowess.

The Girl Next Door (EP 16)
Close the blinds, put the kids to bed early, earmuff the dog, and crank the AC because The Last Row Podcast is willing to find out if the juice is worth the squeeze with our most risque episode to date: The Girl Next Door. Drew and Badway explore the world of adult entertainment as it relates to both this film and real life. Can you date an adult film star star AND have future presidential aspirations? (No). If your friend was dating a closeted industry pro, would you tell them if you knew? (Maybe). Would you trade sexual favors to get out of debt? (how much we talkin?) Is it a violation to call an adult performer by his/her real name? (It is). These questions are merely foreplay as we get to know all of the characters and their quests for love, greed, self-respect, and of course, moral fiber. The guys also play a game of “Adult Film Star or Pro Wrestler” and playback the show’s very first voicemail.

The Fast and Furious Franchise (EP 15)
Fresh off the Furious 7 premiere, the guys are all hopped up on adrenaline and NOS energy drinks, and are here to give you a suped-up episode dedicated to the entire Fast and Furious franchise. Drew and Badway do a quick rundown of each film, rank them, and explore the series’ revolutionary way of titling its sequels. Other topics include: Dominic Toretto as a cult leader, Brian as the worst undercover cop, real life street racing lifestyles, the definition of a “buster,” a peek at the villain wikia’s absurd tagging system, and an analysis of the series’ shift from street racing to Ocean’s Eleven style heist movies. The guys also take a few moments to pay tribute to Paul Walker and his Brian O’Conner character, as well as attempt to find a suitable replacement in future Fast movies. Finally, Badway goes on a passionate rant, rallying against the franchise’s haters and closeted fans.

Other topics include: the career progression of Neill Blomkamp and the unfair comparison to that Shyamalamalan guy, Hugh Jackman’s mullet, and what Drew would do with his own personal Chappie. Then, be sure to stay tuned to part two where the guys unveil the official Last Row(BOT) Rankings, as they rank the top ten movie robots, scoring them based on five categories: Strength, Intelligence, Wit, Human Trust, and Beauty.

The Karate Kid, Part III: The Ballad of Terry Silver (EP 13)
Revenge is on The Last Row Podcast’s mind during a downright giddy discussion of The Karate Kid Part III (:The Ballad of Terry Silver). We discover why Silver tips over the villain scale with his diabolical revenge plot, nuclear waste disposal company, humble clothing, informative leg-sweeping textbooks, and his Daniel-san approved Toyota pickup truck. Other hot issues include: the anti-Batman, grand theft Bonsai, emergency plant surgeries, and that one time Daniel-san spooked a girl and got friend-zoned because his only buddy is an odd 70-year-old Japanese man. Additionally, Drew and Badway place values on movie props and engage in a True or False “making of” trivia game.
