In the debut series of The Last Row: Shorts, Drew and Badway discuss random movie and pop culture topics, and also score a villain from their early podcast library to place them on their patented “Villain Scale”. This week, the guys open by discussing their adventures in toy hunting, and wrap up by scoring the Villain from their very first episode ever, The Mighty Ducks’ Coach Reilly.
The conclusion of The Last Row Podcast’s “Predator Month” has the guys revisiting the often forgotten Danny Glover led Predator 2. Was Lt. Murtaugh a realistic and viable opponent for a Predator? Is it easier to fight a Predator in a city vs the jungle? Will a future 1997 really be littered with foreign drug warfare, and if so, will the mayor take a Ted Cruz-esque conveniently timed vacation to escape it all? Is having a Predator in your city the perfect violent crime deterrent? Finally, is Glover’s Predator weaker than Arnold’s? All of these questions, and more, will be answered! Additionally, Drew and Badway touch on the many sequels of the franchise, including the fantastic new entry, Prey.
Episode 112 of The Last Row Podcast brings us into the jungle for Part One of “Predator Month”. This week, Drew and Badway tackle the original Arnold Schwarzenegger classic, Predator (1987). The guys discuss some behind the scenes drama involving Jean-Claude Van Damme, ponder the usefulness of Dutch’s crew, and put the Predator through the Villain Scale while questioning whether or not Dutch fought a “dud” Predator, with his home planet possibly sending Earth their worst hunter. Finally, the guys draft their own Predator fighting dream team.
Drew and Badway can’t change the past (they have regrets). Luckily, Ashton Kutcher can! The guys try to learn his tricks during The Last Row Podcast breakdown of 2004’s The Butterfly Effect. Besides time travel, the guys also tackle movie theater alphas, boyhood trauma fetishes, and making a wig out of your own hair for emergency future use.
It’s Morphin Time this week at the Last Row Podcast, as Drew and Badway reminisce on the 1995 kids hit(?) film, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie! We learn that while Drew was a big MMPR fan growing up, Badway definitely was NOT, and how this affected their respective rewatches. The guys are also talking unnecessary sky surfing, the Ivan Ooze actor having too much S#!t on him, Dulcea showing too much skin for a family movie, Zordon being a creep, and Kimberly joining the Mount Rushmore of 90s boy crushes.
This week on The Last Row Podcast, the guys finally tackle a Jim Carrey comedy in 1994’s The Mask. Hard hitting questions include: Is the feeling of being The Mask somewhat sexual? What kind of characteristics would The Mask bring out of Drew and Badway? Is Milo the best movie dog (and are golden retrievers conceited)? Did Dorian’s goons have the best collection of villain hair? We’ve got all the answers!
